Immigration and Travel into Welkija
Welkija offers a comprehensive Open-Door Policy. Visitors and prospective residents are welcomed with no need to apply for documents before hand, ensuring your journey to Welkija is as effortless as your stay. Following your arrival you will pass through a short background check and be registered in the International Visitors Database. All residents in Welkija posess the same right to work and vote as citizens.
If you are travelling to Welkija as a prospective resident, please check our Labour Portal, if you seek to work in one of the prioritized industrial sectors or shortage occupations, you may be eligible for immediate housing placement and an accelerated path to citizenship. All prospective residents will be registered in the National Labour Database and supported in finding productive emplyoment in Welkija
Citizenship
Becoming a citizen provides access to services and protections reserved exclusively for the Welkijan people:
•Access to full diplomatic and legal support from Welkijan embassies and consulates while traveling abroad.
•Irrevocable Right of Abode
•Eligibility for restricted high-level public offices and roles within national security.
•Issuance of a Welkijan passport, facilitating international travel under reciprocal visa-free agreements.
All people born in Welkija immedietly become Welkijan citizen. All residents who have been in active employment in Welkija over the course of 5 years automatically become eligable for citizenship, upon meeting these conditions please fill in the naturalization documents found on our Neutralization Portal and pay the associated passport fee to be issued with your new documents. Do note, Welkija does not offer dual citizenship status, please ensure your documents are sent with a formal renunciation of your previous citizenship to avoid any delays in processing.
Refugee Status
Welkija’s Open-Doors policy extends to all refugees. Individuals are entitled to apply for recognized Refugee Status if they meet any of the following criteria:
•Fear of persecution
•Presence of armed conflict
•Risk of inhumane treatment
•Statelessnes
•Systemic Economic Coercion*
•Systematic Sexuality or Gender Identity Based Discrimination
Successful applicants will be granted full refugee status and all associated legal protections. Furthermore, they will become eligible to apply for citizenship without the standard five-year residency requirement.
*You are seeking asylum from exploitative capitalist structures or economic regimes that are fundamentally incompatible with your ideological convictions or right to a dignified life as outlined in the Constitution of The Socialist Commonwealth of Welkija.
